LMD17 Electric Cylinder NEMA 17 Motion Control

Liberty* MDrive® (LMD) Programmable Motion Control NEMA 17 (42 mm) with eCylinder integrates a 1.8° 2-phase stepper motor, drive electronics, a sophisticated programmable controller and an inline mounted captive electric cylinder. Linear motion is produced by an ACME screw/nut system directly coupled to the driving shaft. These compact products offer many distinct benefits including competitive price, high accuracy and repeatability. A cleaner, quieter alternative to pneumatics for some applications. Feedback options include: Open loop stepper, closed loop with hmTechnology (hMT) or multi-turn absolute encoder.

Locking pluggable connectors interface power, I/O. Serial RS-422/485 connection is via a DB-9 (Male) connector.
This product uses the powerful MCode, Novanta IMS’s easy-to-use proprietary mnemonic programming and control language.
